Second single “Stronger Together” released today from EP “Life is a dream”
As days go by, we are still working on the tracks. This is an unusual way to work on an album as usually we finish the whole thing and then we spend months with it in the drawer waiting for the release date. Due to my personal situation the time we had to finish the whole thing was trimmed drastically so we are basically mixing tracks as we release them.
And today we have “Stronger Together”! This is the only metal track in the EP and I cannot be happier about it. It has most of the elements I like in a song. We have a powerful chorus, groove, instrumental parts, electronic stuff, orchestra, and of course, Merethe’s voice which I prefer better than mine 🤣!
Mixing
Kudos to my friend Pere Revert who is demonstrating through the years his capability to mix whatever thing I put in his hands to a level of expertise that blows my mind every time. Orchestral? Ok! Electronic music? Ok!, Metal? Ok!… He keeps hitting the bull’s eye every time he mixes anything I give him.
A Personal Note
Also, I cannot forget about my brother Carlos, who wrote the biggest part of this song. Do you think I could write this kind of metal just by myself? No of course, and to be honest, I don’t need or want to, as I have him who knows a lot more about this than I do, and I always have him close to write more stuff like this if I need it (or so he told me… lol). Thank you bro for supporting me in everything I get involved through the years!
